Holiday Season, sure -- but it's also... Engagement Season!!!

"It's the most wonderful time of the year."  Oh, yes, truer words were never spoken.  This "time of the year" not only brings the holidays, but it also brings the holiday marriage proposals and all the wonderful celebrations that follow.  

Yes, folks, this is engagement season!  According to WeddingWire, 33 percent of engagements happen between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day. Families are together, sparkly lights abound and people are in the mood to unwrap things!

So once there's a "ring on it," (we see a musical theme developing)  the wedding planning begins!  And one of the most fun aspects of this process is the popular Save-the-Date card.  Case in point below:

Coral & Navy Owl Baby Shower

A few months ago we had the privilege of being featured on the blog Grey Likes Baby for providing the paper designs for a cute little owl baby shower for one of our favorite photographers, Brienne Shepard of Brienne Michelle Photography.

The fun color scheme of coral and navy coupled with the cuteness of owls combined to make an adorable celebration welcoming the impending arrival a darling little girl, Elena Phoenix.

We designed the invitations, the owl banner, informational placards, and menus.

The talented Emilie Hegg of Tasteful Tatters styled the shower decorations and even provided a onesie-designing station where guests could use their creativity to embellish the little T-shirts meant to keep little Elena looking good for months to come.

A master at mixing color, form, and texture, Lindsay Schmidt of Petalicious provided the spectacular flower arrangements.

 The gorgeous plates, cups, and flatware were provided by Kathy Le Backes at The Vintage Table Co.

The baked goods and desserts, including these picture perfect nest cupcakes, were provided by Andrea Walters, Melanie Pace, Amanda Canfield.

All the photographs were taken by Brienne Michelle herself.

Just Lovely! A Westlake Wedding

 We had such a wonderful experience working with our bride, Jennifer, on this wedding suite of designs!  She wanted us to design a laid-back yet elegant invitation design, and we were all so pleased with the end results!

We also love, love, love being asked to design the paper details for the wedding day -- table numbers, name cards, menus, seating assignment chart, and programs.  We had such fun with this gorgeous color scheme.  

Since the wedding was outside, the bride wanted her program to be printed on fans so the guests could keep cool while keeping informed :)

Onesie Baby Shower

We absolutely adore this Onesie shower theme!  One of the most basic staples of a baby's wardrobe can't help but conjure up images of fat little legs and chubby little cheeks -- everything about a baby there is to love!

The clean gray and green dot theme was carried throughout the shower, showing up in the banners, succulent centerpieces, and even the games.

Isn't she absolutely glowing?!

Hummingbird Nest Ranch Wedding

This is how it began, with the tea stained doily and the bride's love of vintage.

And what a gorgeous event it turned out to be!  With all the details the bride, mother of the groom and mother of the bride attended to, and with a location like Hummingbird Nest Ranch, the evening was absolutely magical.

As we've stated before, we are not photographers (thank goodness for our trusty DSLR!), so you're going to have to wait for photos from the bride to see her and her man in all their finery.  Danielle was absolutely stunning, and Matthew was as handsome as ever!  We can't wait to get some photos of the wedding party, but these will have to suffice until we do.
