Romantic vintage loveliness

Is it okay to say we sometimes even surprise ourselves with how beautiful our wedding suites turn out? It's so fun to collaborate with our brides to bring their vision to reality. And so we did, combining her love for vintage hears and arrow elements with her desire for a soft, romantic feel.

See for yourself -- nailed it, didn't we?

Have a bride in your life? Send them over -- we'd love to make their wedding paper dreams come true!

Allison ❤ James

Beautiful couple. Beautiful location. Beautiful day. Allison and James tied the knot at Rancho Sol del Pacifico, a private residence with a panoramic view overlooking the ocean and canyons of Malibu.

We'd like to extend a special thank you to Michelle Lacson of Michelle Lacson Photography for the photos on wedding day of Allison & James and our paper designs. What a talented and darling person she is!

We love the colors Allison and James chose for their wedding invitations. Elegant with a touch of vintage, the gray and coral was the perfect palette for the pocket fold and fold-out information/response card.

Kristen ❤ Vincent: Deep Red Romance

We absolutely love the colors of this wedding. The deep red and charcoal is so elegant. And it certainly helps that the bride and groom are definitely glowing! We created one of our favorite table number designs and seating chart for this reception. A big thank you to William Innes Photography for the gorgeous shots.

Easter Printables

How about a little fun?!  And it's free!

With Easter right around the corner, we were asked by the talented and fabulous (and Tammi's daughter) Natalia of Ma Nouvelle Mode to create some Easter Printables for her site.

Let us just say this:  Both our daughters have impeccable style (Rachelle's daughter Laura is our photographer) and so when they suggest we do something, we do it.

And so we did. We designed these li'l darlings just for you.

What could be easier?! You download the PDF, print, cut around the lines and punch the hole (oh, the carefree joys of kindergarten pursuits!), and voila! You've got yourself a cute little tag!

To get the PDF for these sweet tags, head over to Natalia's blog. While you're there, check out her site. She is fashionable and funny, adventuresome and grounded. You'll have a great time there and most likely gain a new daily must-read!

But there's more!! We have two additional printables for you here. First, these are little note cards that you can pop in an Easter basket or place in a bouquet of fresh spring flowers.

Here's the Note Cards printable. And here's a second Note Cards printable in different colors :-)

And for something to help you decorate your home for Easter dinner, print these banner flags and thread with some twine or ribbon. Easy and so cute!

Now go ahead and download the PDF for the Easter banner here, have a fun little craft hour, and you're ready for Easter!

INTRODUCING...

In case you haven't noticed, we've made a few changes around here. Last fall we decided to get our sweet little paper company branded.

We initially didn't have any intention of changing our name, but the more we got into the process the more we realized that we needed our name to reflect more of what we do. So, as you can see, we are now...
We are so, so pleased with our new name and logo. It fits us like a glove, and we thank the talented team at Hey, Sweet Pea for guiding us through the process and for their brilliance in catching and expressing our vision. What a fun and exciting process!!

We are still in the process of changing our website over to our new name (working with the brilliant Crosshatch Creative and talented Zezo Design), so we will keep you up to date as we move along with the switch.

New year, new name, and and whole new set of people to meet and create for. We are looking forward to a wonderful year! We would love for you to follow along with us on Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter.

Derek ❤ Christina: An Elegant Beach Wedding

Derek and Christina were so fun to work with! We had such a great experience with them getting to know them as we worked through each stage of designing their invitation and day-of details. Their wedding day was obviously magical and unforgettable. Congratulations and best wishes to them as they begin their forever together.

Garden Wedding Invitation

Unless you live in California, you may be needing a little spring inspiration. Jillian came to us knowing she wanted her invitations to match the romance of her outdoor venue. Her vision was contagious and came to fruition in this lovely garden invitation.

The stunning bride.

...with her new husband!

Harley Botanica is known for their romantic setting and incredible backdrop of lush greenery.

Congratulations, Mrs. and Mrs. Jacob Lovejoy!!

Where There's a Will...

You could finish the saying. Well, this bride definitely found a way.

We got a call from Alex, who lives in Washington State, wondering if we would be willing to work with her long distance to create her wedding invitations.

Curious, of course, as to how she found us, we asked, and were flattered by her reply. She had received a wedding invitation in the mail and instantly fell in love with it and had to have it for herself. She took the invitation to her mother's work as well as hers, and showed her friends, all in the hopes that someone would know how to find out who made this dream invitation. She noticed the emblem on the envelope that signified the maker, Envelopments, and tracked it down to The Pomegranate Basket, now known as Pomegranate Paper Co.!

We were so thrilled that she would take the time and effort to find us. And what a doll she was to work with. Here are some photos she sent us after the wedding, along with her rustic style invitation.

Congratulations, Alex and Jeff!

COLOR!!!

Color. It sets the mood. Makes a statement. Tells the story. From wedding invitations to home decorating, color selection is a powerful tool.

And, as with every January, we were waiting with bated breath for -- what else? -- the Pantone Color of the Year. So, without further ado, we present the 2014 Pantone Color of the Year, RADIANT ORCHID!

Pantone describes the color like this: "Radiant Orchid blooms with confidence and magical warmth that intrigues the eye and sparks the imagination. It is an expressive, creative and embracing purple -- one that draws you in with its beguiling charm. A captivating harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid emanates great joy, love and health."

My goodness, I want that!

But let's say, as tempting as it is, Radiant Orchid just doesn't speak your language. Let's explore some other options.

Romantic? Soft blush pink, warm brown, and soft turquoise whispers everlasting love.

Playful? Yellow and mint beckon you to join the fun.

Earthy? Sage and coral keep you grounded.

And with everything at our fingertips on the Internet, the resources for color ideas and combinations is endless!

We love scouring the Internet for inspiration. There are so many wonderful sites we've come across, but three of our favorites are featured above:  top and third photo, http://www.theperfectpalette.com/; second photo,  http://design-seeds.com/;  and bottom, http://designiswhatyoucangetawaywith.wordpress.com/.
