Meet Me in St. Louis... or Simi Valley

We are honored to once again be featured on the fabulous wedding blog Rustic Wedding Chic!  (Check out the most recent post here and our previous post here.)  It was a delightful step back in time, courtesy of the shoot location at the Old Santa Susana Railroad Station in Simi Valley.

The railroad theme was the perfect opportunity to use the popular train ticket style for the invitation!

Our favorite detail of the shoot are the tags for these vintage train cases that we absolutely fell in love with.

And one of the sweet benefits of being involved with this shoot was the delicious reward we got at the end of the day -- the delectable Sweet Little Cakes by Donna...  Absolutely always incredibly scrumptious!

Marissa Engagement

Tammi's niece is getting married in February!  We are so excited for her and her fiancé.  Every day we learn a little bit more about our business, and we've even added a couple more suppliers to our already wonderful group of vendors, so we've been looking forward to putting together something special for Marissa for a few months now.

Of course an engagement party is always a fun way to celebrate the couple's happy announcement, so several of her aunts got together and threw one!  It's also a good time for families that may not know each other well or maybe even have never met to have introductions made in a casual party atmosphere.  We started with these cute invitations -- simple but in a nontraditional size and sent in a business style envelope with a unique label.

And what better way to decorate than with paper?!  We took Marissa's wedding color choices of silver, gold, and white and put a casual twist on it with the color scheme of gray, yellow, and white.

We Love a New Year!

Happy New Year, Everyone!

New beginnings.  Fresh start.  Renewed energy.  Clean slate.  All the reasons we love a new year.  Although it seems the word "resolution" has gotten a bad rap lately, we still like the idea of focusing on setting goals and then working hard to reach them.   

So we are very excited here at The Pomegranate Basket with the opportunity a new year brings to meet new clients and reconnect with the old, collaborate with fellow creatives, and watch our little business grow as we pursue what we love -- creating beautiful paper designs and invitations for that special occasion.

As you pursue your goals, "resolutions" or not, we wish you success and a happy and healthy new year.  And make sure you call us for those special occasions, big or small, that deserve the special touch that beautiful paper details brings.  We're here for you!
